New Year, New Inspiration

Out with the old and in with the new is often the tune of a new year. And we’ve been taking full advantage of the unparalleled lull in business to focus our efforts on improving our space, streamlining our efficiency, and riding a wave of creativity into the year ahead.

Floré has been dipping sticks and fulfilling orders at our current location for 35 years. Our building itself was erected in the 1920’s and has seen a rich history and wonderful community grow around it. We love supporting our local businesses and most notably our neighbourhood establishments waxing on about our plans and dreams for the future of Floré. However, working in an older building obviously has some limitations, especially as we aim to grow our business. We knew some serious reorganization efforts must be tackled to make the best use of our space so we can continue to stay here for as long as possible. With new shelving, an improved layout, and a fresh coat of paint that’s totally on-brand, we’re feeling inspired for 2022. Our run-ragged floors are another story – but we’re trying to keep our sights set high these days anyway.

Another thing we managed to take care of over the last two months was implementing a better software system for tracking our inventory. With glitches and learning curves ironed out, we’re stoked to take our efficiency to the next level so we can begin to grow our business in a bunch of exciting ways. The year ahead promises to smell amazing as we have so many cool and beautifully fragrant things on the horizon. Of course, it’s too soon to talk in much detail about most of our plans as many are still in the works, but expect to see some new permanent scents drop, like our recently released Cypress, an exclusive new Floré blend, four fresh seasonal fragrances, a limited-edition holiday blend, and more.

As small business owners, it’s easy to get a bit nervous when times are slower than expected, but we’re happy with how we managed to take advantage of this time, recognizing it as merely the calm before Floré takes 2022 by storm.
